UNHCR, IOM – (2016/2017) research in to UK Government’s Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement (VPR) Programme. An eight month project the involved interviewing resettled refugees in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, local authority staff and delivery partners to evaluate progress towards refugee integration.
Inspection Panel, The World Bank, TSDP, Uganda – (2016) providing expert advice to the Inspection Panel on issues related to land acquisition and involuntary resettlement raised by requesters who identified harms linked to the upgrading of the Kamwenge to Fort Portal Road in Western Uganda. The issues raised in the request refer to problems identified with the compensation, the assessment of impact, the effect of the construction and resettlement on vulnerable populations, and grievance redress. The final investigation report will be available through the Inspection Panel website in early-Summer 2016.
